Since 1991, Alberta Ecotrust has mobilized resources, delivered innovative programs, and supported impactful projects that protect and restore natural ecosystems, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and build community resilience. Alberta Ecotrust is a founding member of the Low Carbon Cities Canada network, a national initiative accelerating equitable climate solutions in cities.

Grants
Alberta Ecotrust offers funding that enables non-profits to undertake groundbreaking local projects in the areas of climate resilience and emissions reduction, nature-based solutions and conservation, and the circular economy.

Impact Investing
Alberta Ecotrust invests in initiatives that reduce urban emissions. Our investments, which can be up to $1 million, focus on scalable projects and enterprises involving high-performance buildings, active and low-emission transportation, and renewable energy.
