Objective of our Advocacy Framework
The objective of our Advocacy Framework is to establish a comprehensive, structured approach that guides our interactions with policymakers, stakeholders and the community at large. This framework is designed to ensure our advocacy efforts are effective, transparent and aligned with our vision of an Alberta where people and nature thrive, while fostering collaborative relationships across sectors.
Why focus on advocacy?
Alberta Ecotrust believes the non-profit sector plays a crucial role in advocacy by giving a voice to societal needs and concerns, influencing policy, and driving legislative changes to promote the good of the public and the commons. We will only undertake advocacy when there is a direct connection between our own activities and expertise and the relevant issue.
